About Us

Alison's dress was ivory with a black lace bodice and she took this as the starting point to inspire her stationery.

The invitations and menus used black card with ivory pearlescent paper, cream ribbon and gold swirl angel hair and the details were printed using Broadway font for an elegant look.

This was an intimate wedding for very close family and friends only so Alison and Simon decided not to have save the date cards or an order of service.

All the items were made in A6 (postcard) size.

The invitation wording was printed onto ivory pearlescent card and mounted onto a black card background. White & Gold swirl angel hair was then wrapped around the card (with a strip of glue on the reverse to hold it in place) and a 15mm cream satin ribbon tied around it and finished with a knot bow.

Rather than have separate placecards and menus, Alison chose to make individual menu cards - this also helped the guests to remember their food choices! The menus were printed onto ivory pearlescent paper and then mounted on 4 layers - black card, angel hair and ivory card together then more black card.

To create the angel hair layer, cover ivory pearlescent card with a very thin layer of PVA glue using a damp paintbrush, lay the angel hair on top and press down to ensure it is fully stuck. Leave to dry - the card may curl at this point. If so, place under a heavy book overnight once the glue is totally dry.

The menus were placed onto the napkins and tied with cream ribbon.
