Budget DIY Wedding Invitations

July, 27th 2009

A tight budget doesn't mean you have to compromise on style for your wedding invitations. And a cheap price doesn't mean your cards need to look cheap!

Here we show you 4 very different ideas for wedding invitations for under 75p per invite - including one at under 25p. All are simple to make

Gatefold card with ribbon- guide price 74p per invite

You will need:

  • a gatefold card blank (we used a tall gatefold card in hammer cream)
  • Square edge organza ribbon (shown here in old gold)
  • envelopes
  • inserts

Print your insert using your PC and printer and attach into the central panel of the card. Mark the centre point on the reverse of the card and place a thin line of adhesive (tape pen or PVA) across the back to hold the ribbon in place. Attach the ribbon and tie in a bow at the front.
