About Us

Using photographs in your stationery really makes it personal. Take your favourite photo from the wedding for your Thank You cards or use images of yourselves as children on your invitations. The instructions are given for the thank you card, but the techniques are the same for the invitation.

You will need

  • A Photo - reduced in size
  • White card blank - Square Hammered
  • Silver Angel Hair
  • Wedding Text Panels - Silver
  • Pearlescent Card - Silver
  • 3mm Diamonte Gems
  • 3-D Sticky Foam Craft Pads
  • PVA craft glue
  • Adhesive Tape pen or Double Sided Tape

Print your photo approximately 5cm by 8 cm and trim - we suggest you use the photographic paper recommended for your printer type.

Using Double sided tape or the Adhesive tape pen, Mount the photo onto a slightly bigger piece of Pearlescent Silver card giving an equal size border around the picture.

Cut a piece of Silver Angel Hair that is 1cm bigger thank your mounted photo on all sides. Attach the Angel Hair to the card using tape only where it will be hidden behind the photo. Adhere the photo on top.

Trim the Thank You Text Panel. Attach Foam Pads to the back and attach to the card.

Using PVA craft glue, and the precision nib that comes with the Wedding Crafter PVA, place small dots of glue onto the corners of the angel hair. Place the diamonte gems onto the glue and dry flat.

TOP TIPS:

If you find the diamonte gems fiddly to handle use tweezers to place them accurately. Normal cosmetic tweezers will work perfectly.

If you find the colours in your photo's clash, change them to black & white or sepia.
