This gatefold card has a simple peel-off motif on the front and also uses peel-off corners inside to highlight the vellum printed invite. You will need:

• Square gatefold card blank - we used hammer cream cards
• Clear vellum insert for square gatefold cards
• Heart corner and champagne glass peel-offs
• 23mm wide organza ribbon - shown here in burgundy

1. Mark the centre of each flap of the gatefold card and use a hole punch to make holes for the ribbon.

2. Place a peel-off motif in the top left-hand corner of the card. The example uses champagne glasses - you could also use another design such as bells, rings, hearts.

3. Print your wording onto the vellum insert.

4. For best results when printing on vellum you need to take care not to smudge the ink as it takes longer to dry than on normal printer paper. First, change your print settings to "draft" or as low a setting as gives satisfactory results. This reduces the amount of ink. Second, remove each sheet as it prints - don't let them stack up on the printer - and leave until the ink is completely dry.

5. Attach the vellum to the card using a very small dot of PVA glue or glue stick at each corner.

7. Once the glue is dry place a peel-off corner in each corner - these will hide any marks caused by the glue. We found that the peel-offs are not strong enough to hold the insert themselves.

8. Thread the ribbon through the holes and tie in a bow. Trim the ends to neaten.

• A6 Hammered Ivory pearlescent card
• A5 Silver Pearlescent Card (one sheet will make 2 invitations)
• Folk heart die cuts - large ivory
• Double Sided Tape or Adhesive Roller

This design can be adapted to any colour, try silver and white or black and cream for completely different looks.
