Classic unfolded wedding invitation with ribbon

unfolded lilac wedding invitation

Insert Template

Simple layers of pearlescent card and elegant satin ribbon combine for a luxurious look and once you have cut your card and papers to size (or asked us to do it for you), this classic invitation is really easy to assemble.

You will need:

  • Paper trimmer (if you are cuting the card and paper yourself)
  • A5 pearlescent card in a neutral colour (we used cream)
  • Pearlescent paper in the same colour cut to 123mm x 185mm
  • Pearlescent card in a contrast colour cut to 133mm x 195mm (we used mauve)
  • 23mm double sided satin ribbon (we used lilac)
  • Adhesive tape pen

Cut your card and paper to size using a paper trimmer or guillotine.

Print your invitation wording onto the paper using the template provided.

Using the adhesive tape pen attach the printed paper onto the contrasting card, making sure it is centred.

Run a line of adhesive on the back of this card approx 15mm from the edge and attach the ribbon so the ends are the same length top and bottom.

Run adhesive around the edges on the back of the coloured card and attach to the A5 piece of card.

Tie the ends of the ribbon together in a knot bow and trim to neaten.
