If you are struggling to find a decorative paper to suit your scheme, why not print your own? With a PC and a good quality colour printer you can create your own papers with very little effort. We designed this candy striped paper in Word using the drawing tools to create a series of rectangles of various widths and colours. Once printed we cut out strips and used them to decorate this DL pocket invitation. To make this, you will need:
Create your design and print onto A4 paper - make sure you print as far to the edges as you can Assemble the pocket invitation using double sided sticky tape and print your invitation wording onto the insert. Cut the decorative paper into 1 strip measuring 21cm wide by 5cm tall and 2 strips measuring 21cm wide by 1cm tall. Mark the position of the strips on the pocket and the insert. Attach with double sided sticky tape. Place a small piece of double sided tape on the back of the pocket to hold the ribbon in place. Attach the ribbon and tie in front in a double knot to form a small bow. Trim the ends with sharp scissors to neaten.
