How Much Ribbon do I need?

How much ribbon/cord do I need for each card to go around the spine and tie in a bow?

It depends on the width of the ribbon and how large a bow you want, wider ribbons will use more. The following table will give you an idea of how much you will need for each card allowing enough to tie a well proportioned bow easily.

How do I attach a mesh background to my cards?

This depends on the design. If you can see the whole mesh background when the design is finished then it is best to use small dabs of PVA, a wet glue that dries clear. Put the glue on the mesh (not the card) using a cocktail stick carefully applying small amounts at several different points before attaching it to the card. Used in small amounts it will be almost invisible.

If part of the mesh is hidden behind another design element on the card, for instance a card layer, you can use a little more PVA glue or glue dots at this point on the mesh which will be hidden. This is usually enough to secure the mesh but if you want to  be extra sure then you can place dabs of glue at the corners of the mesh as above.
